What the evening looks like
Not every gig needs a moving-light rig. A band in a village hall or a church needs to be lit evenly, from the front, without blinding the audience or turning the stage into a series of hotspots. Eight par cans on two stands do that: four a side, crossed slightly, covering the whole performance area.
The stands are winch type, so the bars go up safely and come down without a ladder. The fixtures can be set to a warm static look for the speeches and switched to sound-to-light for the evening.

Why we build it this way
It is the simplest rig that still looks deliberate: no truss, no rigging points and no crew call. If the room has a low ceiling or a difficult load-in, this is often the rig that actually gets used.
